While going to the Brazilian ensemble rehearsal thingy wasn’t the best thing to do, since I still have to practice and finish my homework, I’m glad I went.

One of my classes today was soooooo fun! Our prof showed us an awesome way to teach music in a general music class, and we, college music majors, were probably indistinguishable from children. You should have seen our huge smiles and heard our laughs.

Well, the Brazilian ensemble isn’t much of an ensemble now. We were just learning how to play different instruments and simple rhythms, then we put it all together and made music.

It was an extension of what we learned in class!

Ostinatos! Layering! Analyzing! Listening! Performing!

Though I had other things to do, it was worthwhile and EDUCATIONAL. 

At least that’s what I’ll say in case I turn in my assignment late.
